give up her magic? if only he knew the countless times she wished she’d never been born with magic ( that she’d never been born at all ). how often had she daydreamed about never having a curse cast upon her? what normal life she would be living right now, without a single person having died by her hand? 

and to make it even easier to answer, he questioned her willingness to sacrifice something for a friend. she would do ANYTHING if it meant someone she cared for continued to be happy. she had made that decision before when she nearly died to get rid of keith’s threat over her friends. despite her declaration that she would continue to live for love whilst on tenrou … she doubted she would just let someone she loved die when she could have taken the hit instead. 

( but ….. without magic, she also would lose everything she cared about. gajeel, gray, lucy, erza, fairy tail … would they all still be there when she had no magic? or would their paths diverge, leaving her, once again, all alone? )

         ‘ without a doubt, juvia would sacrifice anything for a friend. whether it’s giving up her magic, or giving up her freedom. as long as they are happy, juvia can endure anything. ‘
